Location Guide

Hempsted Forest

Cranbrook, Kent

Nestled deep in the heart of Kent, Hempsted Forest offers a timeless woodland backdrop year round with tall pines, winding paths, and golden light filtering through the trees. For this location, I recommend leaning into earthy neutrals and natural textures. Bring the kids bikes, snacks and make it an adventure to come and find me!

Avoid bright patterns or neon colours — the goal is to let the beauty of the forest and your family connection shine.

Camber Sands

Rye, Kent

With wide-open skies, golden dunes, and soft rolling sand, Camber Sands is a dreamy, light-filled location, beautiful year round. In the morning we will enjoy the dunes, and for sunset, the water! Bring a towel, spare clothes and prepare to get wet!
👒 Floaty dresses, loose linen, rolled-up jeans, and straw hats for an effortless look. Keep it natural and barefoot if the weather allows. Avoid busy patterns or heavy blacks.

Open Fields

Tenterden, Kent

This location is open to you year round. Beautiful views, soft green grass in spring and warm orange in summer, and the gentle hum of summer life, these fields are vibrant, whimsical, and perfect for playful, joy-filled moments. Bring a blanket, bubbles and rainbow ribbons!

Keep patterns simple, colour works really well here! So go bold.

Sunflowers

Staplehurst, Kent (private farm)

Sunflowers peak at the end of August/beginning of September and I know you all ADORE this shoot location! Neutrals and earthy tones look lovely here, blues and reds too. Pop your colours or let the yellow flowers do all the talking! Bring some secateurs and some cash so you can take some home at the end! This is located on a private farm and I will send the exact location via email to those booked.

Buttercups Goat Sanctuary

Boughton Monchelsea, Kent

Now this is where core memories are made!! So much fun. A really interactive, fun location for a shoot! Maybe not what you would expect for a family photo shoot but I promise you will love every second. As long as you are not afraid of goats, then it kind of sucks...

Bluebell Woods

Various woodlands in Kent

The bluebells peak at the end of April in Kentish woodlands, generally anyway! They are fairly unpredictable as to when they will peak. We have a few woodlands we visit for these gentle, calm sessions.

Paddling Stream

 Sevington Lakes, Ashford Kent.

This location is absolutely brilliant! Bring your old trainers as the stones are sharp (or water shoes), towels and spare clothes for the kids as there is a good chance you will end up wet! Enjoy exploring the water with your children. Splash and hunt for frogs. Bring little watering cans so the kids can pour the water. The water is no more than ankle deep where we shoot but it does drop to knee/thigh deep at points but very easy to avoid. Bring help if you want another adult in the water to herd the children.
